Hollywood: The passionate actor vs. the movie star

Have you ever dreamed of one day becoming a famous Hollywood actor? Be involved in major A-List Motion Pictures or being the lead in a famous TV show? The first thing you need to realize is that this dream can become a reality if you're willing to put in the time, training, dedication, passion and patience required to make it in Hollywood.

In Hollywood we general differ between two types of actors:

1. The Passionate Actor
This is a person that loves the craft of acting, wants to understand and breath the techniques of portraying a real or fictional character. It doesn't matter if this person is involved in a movie, a tv show, a theater play or even a musical, as long as he/she gets to play a character thoroughly.

2. The Movie Star
A Movie Star can be a passionate actors, although in the Hollywood of the 21st century, movie stars are primarily people that get famous through other talent (Arnold Schwarzenegger as bodybuilder, Justin Timberlake as singer/dancer, John Cena as wrestler). For a film studio a movie is a numbers game. Most A-List productions will not pay much attention on casting a truthful actor in the lead role as long as the actor is already known and comes with a great fan base that in the end will pay money to see the film at the box office.
